Although the record indicated that she originated in PEI, oral history, through my grandmother Hélène Cormier, was that Therese Carberry (Hélène's grandmother) was an adopted Irish orphan as depicted in the 1991 Heritage Minute Orphans. Helene remembered that she had red hair, and told me if I had a child with red hair that's where the gene had come from.
